Like I just said, the internet has been helpful in finding cards. Sites like starcitygames, channelfireball, and cardkingdom have been great for finding all the general good stuff. Now comes the hard part, I want to find and obtian cards like Lions Eye Diamond, or some dual lands, to start filling out my collection. Is it time I start looking on ebay? Should I go to some large events?

Once I have the cards located, how do I get them? I have a very limitted card pool, and most people won't be interested in what I have to trade. I have cash to offer, but how many people want cash? I just need some advice on finding and obtaining some staples of the format.

I start off most of my searches thusly:
1. Price check with MOTL or Apathyhouse
2. Check to see eBay's going rates
3. Findmagiccards.com to see if there's any good deals there (usually not)
4. Cardshark.com to see if there are any individual sellers having goodies
5. individual online stores, like the ones you mentioned

The cards you mentioned aren't very hard to find, you just need to be willing to pay-up .
