Silverblack Eternal
. Silverblack Eternal is an eternal budget format that includes all sets from Mercadian Masques, 7th edition, and later.
. Silverblack allows only common and uncommon cards.
. The following cards are banned in silverblack eternal:
Aether Vial
Sensei's Divining Top
Sword of the Meek
Tendrils of Agony
Skullclamp
Cranial Plating
Gush
Purpose - The purpose is to create a format that allows many older sets, but does not require too steep of a price investment. Unlike pauper, allowing uncommons opens up many new strategies and archetypes.
Silverblack extended is already a pretty popular format on Magic online, and so I thought why not make a more legacy-like version of it. I've chosen to start at Masques in order to avoid the problematic cards of the Urza block of course.
Does anybody think this has any potential to compete as a legacy/extended replacement alongside Overextended/Modern? I think it would be a lot cheaper than any modern or overextended format would be considering all those jaces, goyf, and shocklands.
