20 plains
4 mishra's factory
4 flagstones of trokiar

4 ghostly prison
4 smokestack
4 crucible of worlds
4 chalice of the void
3 trinoshpere
2 tangle wire

2 swords to plowshares
2 day of judgment
2 Armageddon

3 magus of the tabernacle

2 elspeth

This would be my attempt at mono-white stax.

To start with, are the lock pieces ok? Is there a correct number of them?
Next, is my win ok? elspeth and the factory?
And third, I have some removal, armageddon (for land), day of judgment, and Swords. Is running any one of these pieces counterproductive? I feel Armageddon isn't to bad because I can use crucible to bring back factory. Would path be better than swords here? I can deal with land, but how do I deal with the extra life they may get, if that is at all relevant? I am over all not sure how well this will win.

Also, should I be running the Magus? He seems ok, but would the extra removal just be better, or is he putting extra pressure on the opponent?

I hope this is not a repeat thread.

Other things I have been considering are a few fetchlands, and powder keg, but I am one million percent open to suggestions.

Without tombs, cities and moxes, any deck basing on sphere/chalice is much to slow to by anyhow playable (tournamently of course)

Exactly. He can drop smokestack turn 4 earliest, ramp it on turn 5 and it's possibly the opponent's turn 6 that you actually do anything to his board.

Stax needs:

4 Wasteland
4 Ancient Tomb
4 City of Traitors
3-4 Mox Diamond
