Why is there no card tag button?

I always have to type out whenever I want to link to a card. Why isn't their a card tag button to enclose a card name around to link to the image of the card? We have a quote tag button, a html tag button, a bold/italic/underline button, but no card tag button between "Title" and "message".

Why is that?

Because the [cards] thing is a third-party plugin and we have no idea how to turn it into a button in vBulletin.

I have a clue, but I unfortunately have about half a dozen major sideprojects before I can get around to tinkering with The Source. It's something I definitely want to work on someday, though. If no one else bothers first.
