If I Condescend my copy of a pact for 0, I can choose to not pay the additional 0 mana, and thus let it be countered, correct?
Condescend - "Counter target spell unless its controller pays X"
You can elect to not pay :0:, and the spell will become countered.
Exactly, works same as daze and all that jazz, problem is the other player can counter his own pact too with the copy of your condescend.

Uh....
This is misleading; there's a time after your opponent's Pact has resolved where you can cast Condescend to counter your copy.
EDIT: Oh, nevermind, he said "copy of Pact." It's still a great way to avoid dying, though.

The difference is that with Daze or just about any other counter, the Hive Mind player can use his copy of Daze to counter the real Daze and win. With Condescend, all he can do is counter his own copy and not die.
