Psychosis Crawler and state-based effects

I have a question about Psychosis Crawler and it's interaction with draw7's like Wheel of Fortune.

It is my understanding that state-based effects are checked upon every time priority is passed and after the resolution of a spell or ability and not halfway during such a spell or ability (please correct me if this understanding is flawed).

Does this mean a Psychosis Crawler stays alive during the resolution of Wheel of Fortune even though at one time during the resolution I'll have no cards in hand?

Yep. SBAs aren't checked in the middle of effects resolving.

Nice, that means I have another kill condition in my Draw7 EDH deck other than Megrim (and little sister).
