I control The Abyss, Smokestack (+1 counter), Tangle Wire (+4 counters), and Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale on the board. My opponent have 3 Silvergill Adepts and 5 lands.

On my opponent's upkeep there are triggers coming from the 4 cards above that need to be resolved following the APNAP (Active Player - Nonactive Player order) rule:

A - The ability that Tabernacle grants ("pay :1: or destroy this creature") to his creatures triggers. This triggers first because a) it is his turn (Active Player - First Priority) 2) he controls the ability (granted by the Tabernacle) since it is coming from his creatures

B - Nonactive Player (me) receives Second Priority and I choose to put my triggers on the stack in the following manner: Tap 4 for Tangle Wire > Sac 1 perm to Smokestack > Sac 1 nonartifact creature to The Abyss

Upon resolution, triggers resolve in reverse order they were put on the stack (the most recent one at the top resolve first), in effect:

1st - sac 1 creature to The Abyss
2nd - sac 1 permanent to Smokestack
3rd - tap 4 for Tangle Wire
4th - pay :1: for each creature or destroy it

In short, I'm correct right? As the Nonactive Player, I can choose the manner in which triggers are put on the stack for permanents under my control. While an opponent who has active priority cannot alter the sequence in which they will resolve.

For example, they cannot opt to tap for Tangle Wire effects first before sacrificing a permanent for every soot counter on Smokestack. Likewise, they cannot opt to sacrifice a creature to Smokestack first before sacrificing it to The Abyss.

For reference [CR 410]

410. Handling Triggered Abilities
...
410.2. Whenever a game event or game state matches a triggered ability’s trigger event,
that ability triggers. When a phase or step begins, all abilities that trigger “at the beginning
of” that phase or step trigger. The ability doesn’t do anything when it triggers but
automatically puts the ability on the stack as soon as a player would receive priority.
The ability is controlled by the player who controlled its source at the time it triggered.
It has the text of the ability that created it, and no other characteristics.
410.3. If multiple abilities triggered since the last time a player received priority,
each player, in APNAP order, puts triggered abilities he or she controls on the stack in any
order he or she chooses. (See rule 103.4.) Then players once again check for and resolve
state-based effects until none are generated, then abilities that triggered during this process
go on the stack. This process repeats until no new state-based effects are generated and
no abilities trigger. Then the appropriate player gets priority.

Sticky, please? I think having this information readily available is just as relevant as knowing "How Humility works"

All it has are links to various rules sites .. It might be better off for someone to pull out a comprehensive rules book instead.

The reason I insist is that I am tired of explaining the interactions to each of my opponents, seems like 90% are misinformed.

A sticky will definitely be helpful.

You could have the rules book yourself bookmarked as I do, way more reputible than linking to some website. It seems you made the thread solely to petition for a sticky?

Just search google for "mtg comp rules" click the top link, and there you go. I don't even have it bookmarked.
