Suspend and Morph in Commander

Two Commander Questions:

1. If your Commander is Akroma, Angel of Fury, can you Morph her from the Commander zone, and if she's been returned to the commander zone once before, does morphing her cost :5: instead of :3:?

2. Similarly, if your Commander is Ith, High Arcanist, blah blah Suspend, blah blah :2::u::w: instead of :u::w:?

You only pay the morph cost, so :3:. Any damage Akroma-morphed deals will count as general damage.

You can only suspend a card if it's in your hand.

Pretty much what I thought in all cases, except it never occurred to me morphed Akroma didn't have a name. Always forget little things like that.

As of now, there is no official ruling stating it costs more.

702.35a. Morph is a static ability that functions in any zone from which you could play the card it's on, and the morph effect works any time the card is face down. "Morph [cost]" means "You may cast this card as a 2/2 face-down creature, with no text, no name, no subtypes, no expansion symbol, and no mana cost by paying {3} rather than paying its mana cost." (See rule 707, "Face-Down Spells and Permanents.")

In the spirit of Commander, it's probably correct to pay :5:, but I don't think this is official.

No, It would actually be :5:, since you are playing the card.

That's not a very good post to link to - it's just yaw07 saying something with no explanation - but yes, morph is casting using an alternate cost, and any additional costs will apply.

Makes more sense that way. For some reason Commander zones aren't something my brain can get wrapped around.
