All of you guys know the following cards: Tarmogoyf / Stoneforge Mystic / Dark Confidant.
They all cost 1 and 1 Mana of the color they are from. But I was wondering, is there a blue or red one of them aswell? Maybe I just didnt realise it. Is there any? Will there be any?

Discussion opened :)

Silvergill Adept for blue. Ask any merfolk player.

Maybe to figure out what cards are good? I dunno. Seems like you could name a lot as I hear there are a few good cards to play in legacy (standstill, daze, burning wish, goblin piledriver, and 2000 other ones).

Phantasmal Image caught my attention for the same reason, and even tho there's no hype on it, seems to me that it can be strong in many legacy decks. But I can't be sure yet, and is leaning more towards no...

Red got nothing like goyf/bob/mystic yet, it seems.

Maybe not in Legacy, but Goblin Recruiter caused many waves when it was legal in old Extended. Maybe if we saw an Imperial Recruiter reprint at 2 mana, this would fill that spot.

So I don't see the point of a "good 2cc cards in blue or red" thread.

It's Grim Lavamancer for red (yes, I know, but it still is), blue doesn't have one.

No, It's Magus of the Moon. Blue has Phantasmal Image and Tarmogoyf.

I think that Grim Lavamancer and Vendilion Clique are equivalent to dark confidant, Tarmogoyf and Stoneforger mystic. They aren't 2cc unfortunately...

What do we even mean by equivalent?

If you mean strictly 2cc, then Silvergill Adept and Goblin Piledriver. If you simply want to know the best/most efficient creature in blue and red, then it's Silvergil Adept (seriously, he's the stones) and Grim Lavamancer.

It seems as if he might have been thinking there's a cycle of 1 and another of it's colors cards like Goyf and Confidant that are made on purpose to be stronger than normal. Not really a correlation on them actually, they just happen to be at a very good price in mana for the effect you get.
