Welcome Legacy Community,

After year of organizing event in Legacy, I came to solution which can change Europe in this format. I'm looking jealous at US with their SCG and came to solution how to change from local playing to international level, time to take a dialog with big shops like SCG, Troll&Toad and CardKingdom. WotC (Hasbro mostly in EU) doesn't see growing popularity of legacy in EU - or doesn't want to, more over they can't support in most countries nationals or even help with organizing it.

I'm from Poland, I spin from almost dead ground legacy community in Warsaw, actually we have tournaments each week, frequency isn't great about 20 people every time, but there are more cities in our country where legacy format growths. Problem is - without support we can't make big events where other cities have reasons to journey - costs/prizes aren't comparable - no one will take a trip where cost are almost the same as the top8 prizes, we need sponsor or a known mark as international shops to take more sponsors.

There were actually 2 big events in past year in EU:
BoM - 633 players
GP Madrid - 2225 players

That's a lot of potential players. My suggestion is to take all local community from most EU, where Legacy is played in one and start negotiation with big shops as SCG/T&T/CK about a series similar to SCG Open in US.

Legacy isn't good format for WotC/Hasbro it doesn't gives profit on prime sells, only stores with singles can take profits from it, so here is a way where we should take our actions.

Greetings,

Fatal
