View Full Version : EDH stupidity
Okay, so heres the hilarious situation that just happened.
My opponent has a Mycosynth Lattice and Tezzeret the Seeker and I control a Darksteel Forge. I cast Phyrexian Metamorph copying the artifact Tezzeret.
Do both die, or just his as my artifacts are indestructable?

They both die, just like with two legendary creatures. They're not actually being destroyed, they're send to the graveyard as a state-based effect. If there are two Konda, Lord Of Eiganjo on the battlefield for example, both of them die as well.
Word, makes sense, but we weren't sure. Thank you.

Extra note: This is not the same as the Legend Rule. There is a second rule dealing with planeswalkers. I.e, having mirror gallery in play won't save either planeswalker.

Right. i was aware of this difference, but for the life of me I had some nagging inner doubt as to the "planeswalker" rule surrounding one of them being indestructable, etc.. It makes sense that state based trumps, but neither me or the other player involved could make the mental leap to it working or not.
