Reasons to try this deck:
Artifacts are good! Especially when all your lands give you 2 mana. Having Emrakul as a GG win con is something that comes up often enough and having Eye of Ugin as an uncountable way to fetch him or anything else is tops. Wurmcoil: You can usually get him out early enough where he will keep you alive and is simply fantastic. Even if they use a Cruel Edict or sac ability on you he will split. Chalice at 1 deals with STP along with combo. The Lightning Greaves are great and deal with a number of targeted removal that's so heavily played. The Glimmerpost's life gain actually help out the game many times. Especially if you have Ancient Tomb out.
What to work on:
So I have done some testing with this and it has gotten good results vs early threats like Goyf. I feel like the biggest threat to the deck would be perhaps Merfolk although I haven't tested that match up yet. Land destruction may be a problem although Crucible can come along and help. Also the deck has 26 lands. I feel like this deck still needs a bit of testing but is showing some good results.
