People have said that they use cursecatcher in the dredge matchup because it can remove bridge.

I cannot just activate cursecatcher without a target right. if so, how do I use the cursecatcher ability to get rid of bridge?

You either wait for them to cast a spell or you cast one yourself then sac Cursecatcher to counter it.

Dredge needs a way to sacrifice its creatures in order to trigger Bridge. They generally use either Cabal Therapy or Dread Return in order to achieve that. When they do, you respond to Cabal Therapy/Dread Return by Cursecatchering it. Bridge will trigger again and be removed. When its original trigger(s) resolve it will do nothing because Bridge contains an intervening if-clause that requires Bridge still being in the graveyard when its triggered ability resolves.

Whenever a nontoken creature is put into your graveyard from the battlefield, if Bridge from Below is in your graveyard, put a 2/2 black Zombie creature token onto the battlefield.
