Just started to play Dredge, a noob doubt.

1) Say I play Cephalid Coliseum, Lion’s Eye Diamond, tap Coliseum into Breakthrough, respond cracking LED, I discard my hand, then resolve the draw 4 effect and instead dredge four card in my graveyard. Is it correct?

2) Now say that, in the previous situation, after discarding my hand to LED I have just one dredger in my graveyard. When resolving Breakthrough’s draw 4 effect, can I say I use the first draw to dredge the only one dredger in my yard, resolve the dredge effect, then, if at this point there is a new dredger in my graveyard, use the second draw effect to dredge the new dredger, and so on up to four times?

Thanx

Thank you Julian. Another doubt: you cannot be decked as long as you can replace the draw effect(s) with dredge, right?

You can be decked. You can't dredge a card if you don't have enough cards left in your library.

702.50a Dredge is a static ability that functions only while the card with dredge is in a player’s
graveyard. “Dredge N” means “As long as you have at least N cards in your library, if you
would draw a card, you may instead put N cards from the top of your library into your
graveyard and return this card from your graveyard to your hand.”

702.50b A player with fewer cards in his or her library than the number required by a dredge ability
can’t put any of them into his or her graveyard this way.

Thank you very much!

Keep in mind that to respond to your own spells (an unusual situation), you have to indicate while playing the spell that you're keeping priority to respond.

If you don't explicitly retain priority, your opponent can force the spell to resolve without you having a chance to respond to it.

Very interesting, I'll remember it.
