Rooftop Storm 5U
Enchantment - Rare
You may pay 0 rather than pay the mana cost for Zombie spells you cast.
Does anyone else think this card is just plain silly with Show and Tell? I mean it's really cute and all, but I imagine some deck with Thraximundar, Phage, the Untouchable, Force of Will, Intuition and Genesis.
Something crazy like that.
What do you folks think -- cute rare or Legacy playable?

Cute rare, imo. Show and Tell is an enabler. Why use it to play another enabler when you could just play a win condition and win the game?

As every card that lets you break Magic's most fundamental rules, this card seems interesting. However, the combo you mention is in almost all ways inferior to Hive Mind. Creature-based, and doesn't win on the spot.
Still, maybe someone might come up with something useful.

How is this card good with Show and Tell?
I'd much rather just drop an Emrakul or Hive Mind and Win. In legacy a card that costs six mana has to do something (relevant) on it's own, which Rooftop Storm does not. Danger of cool things, I dare say.

Would be fun for Casual or EDH but I doubt it will see competitive play. All the suggestions you mentioned above would make a super fun Grixis colored deck.

This. The fact that Rooftop Storm has the exact same mana cost as Hive Mind but doesn't win you the game even when it works correctly is kind of a big strike against it ever being playable.

The only way it works is if they print a zombie that wins the game on the turn you cast it (or the following upkeep like hivemind/pact of negation). As far as I know, the closest thing is Phage, but that takes an extra turn to win. If you were to use another card to give her haste, then it's not really worth it since now you're running a 3-card combo.
It seems like an auto-include in any Thraximundar EDH deck though. If you add some kind of sacrifice outlet, you can keep recasting and sac'ing the general indefinitely.

I see this working well in a casual zombie list, with the zombie ringleader, warchiefs, lords etc. It would be fun, hilarious to play, but strictly casual. I might have to make sure my friend who has a zombie deck picks up a few though.

Zombie-Storm, you heared it here first!
Zombie Ringleaders + all those Changelings with "Champion a creature" to kind of recycle the Ringleaders.

Lake of the Dead + Necrologia.
Obviously a UBg deck with Glimpse of nature.
