(Stupid Commander...)

I have a Renegade Doppelganger in play. (My opponent has like 3 billion elves and Ezuri, which is stopping me from wrathing with Chain Reaction.) So, I do what every great Blue mage does in that situation. I play Ixidron.

If I put the Renegade Doppelganger trigger on the stack first, then the Ixidron's trigger, what exactly happens to the Renegade's trigger after he's been turn faced down by Ixidron? Does it just not happen because the 2/2 face-down guy isn't Renegade Doppelganger anymore?

First: Ixidron doesn't have a trigger - it's "as", which modifies how it enters the battlefield. If it was a trigger, it'd likely often die from being 0/0.

But if you could stack it, Renegade Doppelganger is still the same card when it gets turned face down - when a card/permanent uses its name, it really means "this permanent". How its name changes between when an ability is put on the stack and resolves won't affect the ability.
