FREE Insider: Thirty-Three Innistrad Calls for your Prerelease Pleasure (http://www.quietspeculation.com/2011/09/free-insider-thirty-three-innistrad-calls-for-your-prerelease-pleasure/)

Josh Rayden (a great player with a strong history in Vintage) goes through his list of cards from Innistrad to keep an eye out for come prerelease.

He touches on the utility of some of these cards in eternal formats such as Legacy, including Nevermore's potential inclusion in some sideboards (next to Runed Halo, I assume) and Snapcaster (of course). There's a bit of a conversation going on regarding Past in Flames in Tendrils.

Overall, I really enjoy Josh's perspective and I think he's right on when it comes to the overvaluing and hype of some of the cards.

Others' thoughts? Any calls you don't agree with?

I like this kind of article and this one was a nice read.

It is interesting he missed the U 3/2 transformer. Well, he even mentioned the red one, which is worse in every way.

He missed the new Garruk as well.

To be fair, the 3/2 U transformer is common and may not be a money card for a while.

He also mentioned in the beginning of the article that these are the cards he is specifically looking out for this weekend, which may be why he passed on the new Garruk on other hyped cards that will be floating around this weekend. :)

Yeah honestly, I can agree with not going for the U one. It's a bunch of hot air surrounding that one, just like Street Wraith had. We're prolly better off looking for the tarmo's of this set than the missteps. The hype around cards may not represent all that it seems to.

Personally, I like Liliana of the Veil and Tribute to Hunger the most out of all the cards in the set.

Insectile Abberation and Liliana of the Veil are the two that I'm most interested in.
