First things that came to mind for me at least would be to cut the MD echoing truth (unnecessary), the 2 Jaces, the Voidemage Prodigy and the 1 Patron wizard.
This leaves you with 5 open spots.
4 of them should be Force of Will. You're going to have a much better time countering things with cards in hand.
Dismember, D. Edict. should be in the board. That's three spots.
2 of them need to more dark confidants. You want 4 of them. No less. Ever.
I would cut the two snares and make a nice even 3 spell pierce main and call it a day. Start testing and see what goes on.

OK!
Tested it both ways. Does not work as predicted and needs more WORK.

So true ... out of MD!
the 2 Jaces, the Voidemage Prodigy and the 1 Patron wizard.
So not true ....
Jace, the Mind Sculptor - Card advantage + and occasional bounce ... so hard to cast and protect ... remained at 1 (Flex point)
Patron Wizard and Voidmage Prodigy are also flex points but are really important as a surprise .... and can be pulled with Vedalken Aethermage effectively making every wizard in deck a potential CS! As u don't pull them too often they don't make problems. And when u manage to put them in play they make significant input to game! Of course if whole setting is right.
Dismember, Diabolic Edict should be in the board.
Well basically ... U are right! But too often they win the game for me when in MD! But generally good observation. (exchanged them with 2 Force of Will) :eyebrow:
Added 1 Runechanter's Pike MD .... if proper setting ... SICK!
OK!
Would appreciate someone other with good and intuitively good observations.

When is Runechanter's Pike ever better than Umezawa's Jitte?

We usually try to figure out what would be the best possible cards for a deck for a competitive environment. The attitude to play what you like at a given time is ok, but why do you post in this forum to get comments then?

What he meant is... if you don't feel like playing the "best cards" you should probably put this in the Budget/Casual forum. This is a section of the Source where we focus on providing constructive criticism to help decks "Get there," whether it is Tier 2 playable, or even Tier 1 decklists.
By saying that you "don't feel like" playing Jitte, you are essentially admitting you aren't interested in seeing this deck become the best it can possibly be. Now admittedly, I would argue that Jitte is far from the best equipment these days, and that Sword of Body and Mind or Feast and Famine, depending on the situation, is probably better.
I'm not saying that you can't put pet decks into this forum because everyone favors certain strategies, and new ideas are always welcome. What I am suggesting is that when somebody responds by saying "X card isn't competitive, you should play Y card instead," responding by simply saying you don't personally "like" that card is not really a welcome attitude. Generally we try to make rational arguments and support them with empirical data, because that's how decks become better. I think if you do that, you will get a much better reception.
Example: I don't believe either Jitte or Runecaster's Pike are correct in this deck. What you need is an equipment that produces real board advantages as soon as you equip it to a creature, because the wizards, while producing great secondary effects, don't have very good combat stats (power, toughness). This can be mitigated by playing a card like Sword of Feast and Famine, which gives you protection from the colors of great big monsters in Legacy, which are generally either Green or Black. Not to mention the fact that when you have Dark Confidant in play, it's nice to be able to have a functional "second untap phase" where you can maximize casting all the cards that you draw every turn.

Basically u had had good idea ... But feel Like arguing!
I don't feel Like that. U obviouslly don't understand my choice and don't respect them.
So ill explain to u!
Tried jitte -> not so good! U have to deal dmg to get the positive effects! This wizards are not so good at that if they loose initial control of the board!
Runechanter -> much better ... Enough ins/src to make it respectable first striker. In defence and offence.
Like your idea about sword of FF. Will test it also. It is good idea.
