So, I want to play legacy/vintage this weekend, but only came across a reference to PJ's Variety Store hosting a Legacy event on 10/8. The drive isn't actually too bad for me (35 minutes), but I was more concerned about playing somewhere with a competitive atmosphere (nobody wants to bring a spike deck to a casual environment). Does anyone know about this place?
Does anyone know of other Vintage/Legacy in the Chicagoland area this weekend?

I moved to Milwaukee last fall and am looking for legacy action as well. I only have to work until 10am tomorrow so I might go check this place out. I can send you a PM about the vibe/tournament expectation.
The turnout at the store I go to for Wednesday legacy has been poor, so I need to either find a new location or start organizing myself.

Also, where did you find this reference. I can't find much information about the place. It seems to be a candy store that also sells hot ham sandwiches. Hopefully they host legacy magic events.

There is nothing on my radar for this weekend. And I know nothing about the stores on the north side of the metro except XTreme Games, which apparently ran a monthly Legacy tournament on the second. On top of SGC Indy. I've been there a few times, have a good relationship with the owners, and I know they run competitive and good tournaments. If you find out more about the stores up north I'd love to know. I've been bouncing around stores in the south and west to see how they're run for a while, but I have little opportunity to go that far north.

I found it by searching the dci tournament locator for 10-8 through 10-9 for a 50 mile radius from 60044 (Lake Bluff, IL).

Edit2: Wizards' website fails so here's a tinyurl: http://tinyurl.com/3qakljk
Edit3: Quick Googling suggests the TO is one Tony Bloom. Anyone know him? I'll be calling the phone number that wizards gives tomorrow.

I called the store and was able to get this info:
Magic players start showing up around 10am for casual games/trading. Legacy starts at 3pm and usually gets 8-18.
