I believe it removes the flashback ability that Snapcaster would give to the spell, so yes. I could be wrong though.

That's correct. Yixlid Jailer can become overridden by newer abilities granted. Dralnu Lich Lord also grants a similar ability, and both he and Snapcaster Mage can grant Flashback to spells with Yixlid Jailer in play.
