So my friends and I were wondering about this statement
303.4f If an Aura is entering the battlefield under a player‘s control by any means other than by
resolving as an Aura spell, and the effect putting it onto the battlefield doesn‘t specify the object
or player the Aura will enchant, that player chooses what it will enchant as the Aura enters the
battlefield. The player must choose a legal object or player according to the Aura‘s enchant
ability and any other applicable effects.
The question is if a Sun Titan comes into play trigger brings back lets say an Oblivion Ring into the battlefield can it attach it self to lets say a hexproof creature like Geist of Saint Taft?

No because oblivion ring is not an aura. None of that rule applies to oblivion ring.
However, if you brought back an actual aura, like pacifism, then you will be able to hit things with shroud (or anything that would be otherwise untargettable). You can even put things on something with protection, but it will fall off before a player receives priority because that's what protection does.

A better example would be returning something like Pacifism (O-Ring isn't actually an aura - it's an enchantment with a triggered ability so it can't ever get an opponent's Geist).
But yes, something like a Sun Titan / Replenish / Rether that doesn't target can attach auras to Hexproof / Shroud creatures.

Please don't think me rude but that is absolutely not the case.
"303.4....The player must choose a legal object or player according to the Aura‘s enchant

Shroud/Hexproof creatures are not legal targets and cannot be chosen.

No offense taken.
What 303.4f (the section you quoted) means is that it has to enchant a legal object as restricted by the Aura. For example, an Innistrad Curse could not be attached to a creature (since Curses have to enchant players). Pacifism likewise could not be attached to an artifact (unless it was a creature, of course).
The key wording here is the lack of the "target" wording. You are correct that Shroud/Hexproof creatures cannot be targeted by effects an opponent controls, but things like Sun Titan / Replenish / Retether, which don't target can attach auras to Shroud / Hexproof objects.

Legal refers to having a "creature" enchantment only being attached to a creature, and not a land. The rule doesn't specify "target" for which Shroud and Hexproof protect.

I understand much more clearly now, thank you for the clarification. :-)
