Hive Mind + Chalice of the Void

A quick question:

Player A have a Chalice of the Void in play at "0" and player B have a Hive Mind in play. Player B casts a "Pact", which Hive mind copies, so player A also "casts" one copy. Then there's two "Pact" spells on the stack. Will the Chalice counter both?

I'm unsure about the copy (Player A's copy)!

Chalice will only 'counter' the original spell and not the copy made by the Hive Mind, just like with Storm spells and Chalice.

That's what I thought, but again I could have read the Hive Mind ruling better:

"The copies that Hive Mind's ability creates are created on the stack, so they're not "cast." Abilities that trigger when a player casts a spell (like Hive Mind's ability itself) won't trigger."

Chalice of the Void can only counter spells which are cast. It won't counter spells which are put onto the stack by effects, like Hive Mind or Brain Freeze's storm ability.
