Hi,
I have a question for a situation, that happened some time ago...

I play Thoughtseize on my opponent and he casts Misdirection on it and changes to target back on me. What happens?

If I understand it correctly it is still my spell, so I have to pay 2 life and then can choose one of my cards to be discarded. I can even choose not to discard anything, right?
What I'm unsure about is, wether or not my opponent gets to see my hand in this situation.

You reveal your hand, and MUST select a non-land card to discard. You will lose 2 life upon resolution.

Note the difference between cards telling you to "look at target players and" and "target player reveals his or her hand". Whenever a player "reveals" his hand, each other player gets to look at it.

You may only opt to not choose a card if you're searching a hidden zone for a card with specific characteristics. In this case, the card does have specific characteristics (nonland), but the zone is not hidden because thoughtseize specifies that your hand is revealed.
