We will also be hosting a GP Trial for Indy the following day (Sunday February 12th), GP Indy is the first Legacy GP of 2012 and having 3 byes is o so sweet as we all know. Entrance will be $25 and the prizes will be higher than a normal GPT. Right now the GPT payout might be something like a mox emerald to first, library to 2nd, 3-4th $75 credit. 5-8th $40 credit. If more than 45 people show up prizes will be increased as well.

Let us know what the start time for this is. I'll probably be coming to this whether or not I go Saturday.

Don't forget about our large gpt Indy legacy event that will be held the day after (feb 12th) at the Johnson City location, which is the same location of the NELC.

Yay I get to come to one again finally. Anybody have any ideas for fun things for a girlfriend to do in the area while I'm playing?

I heard there's a Legacy tournament going on, she could play in that!

Seriously though, leave her at home or something. Unless she's into shopping the mall for like 8 hours.

Wait, your GPT is going to be legacy not modern? How?

Information previously on the wotc website was incorrect and Aaron Forscythe stated on twitter that GPTs for legacy GPs can be run as legacy.

Shaun, you could leave her at the mall or drop her off at the movie theater. Thats about all I got . . .

As stated before the GPT on Sunday (Feb 12th) will be held in Johnson City (same location as the NELC) and the format will be Legacy. Also the entrance fee for the GPT will be $25 unless you played in the NELC the day before in which case it will only be $20. Only a few days away till our February NELC 3k event on Saturday & on Sunday a GPT for Indianapolis that features a Mox Emerald for 1st place and a Library of Alexandria for 2nd. The GPT will be a legacy event even though if you check wizards it says Modern.

Anybody from the Albany area looking for a carpool partner? I'd just be going down for the NELC, not the GPT.

One other probably dumb question. The tournament site will be selling singles right?

Bryant Cook (TES) Beat Doug Mckay (Hawk Stompy? Idk small white dudes with lots of equip) in the finals. I got 16th with Punishing Maverick. Eli was in the top 8 but idk what he played he lost to Bryant in quarterfinals.

Eli played his RWU thing, it had Punishing Fire. I beat another white equip deck in the semis. I beat next level thresh in the quarters (Si-Ning Li who got 2nd last time). Bryant beat RUG tempo in the semis. The other white player beat Paolo Cesari in the quarters, I believe he played RWU. I don't remember the other top 8er.
