Format: Legacy! Entry: $25 (Decklists Required)
Reg: 10:30-11:50am, Noon Start. We'll be starting at Noon sharp.
We are running a PTQ the next day (this event ties into it... keep reading :wink:),
so we'll be moving right along!

Prizes!
1st= 4 Tundra
2nd= 4 Tropical Island
3rd/4th= 4 Volcanic Island EACH

Top 4 also to receive free entry to our modern PTQ the next day Sun 3/11 at the So. Attleboro Knights of Columbus! :smile:

At 50 or more players 5th-8th will receive...

5th- 4 Bayou!
6th- 4 Scrubland
7th- 4 Plateau
8th- 4 Badlands!

If we do not hit 50 players, we still plan on giving out the top 4 duals regardless of attendance and 5th-8th will instead receive $50 credit each. We've gone way over 50 players the last couple times we did this, so we expect to be giving out duals to all of top 8. If not, these prizes are still nuts :tongue:

This event is the day before our Modern PTQ!!! I see no issue getting to 50ish, 100ish is a challenge :tongue:

The next day being my PTQ I think we'll cover the 100ish pretty well at that event...

We open the store doors 11am Sat so please get here early for the legacy (11:30 recommended) and have everything prepared as we're starting at noon and if you show late you're probably receive penalties (I hate giving penalties:tongue:)

Expecting alot of people. A whole lot. Many people staying over the weekend to play in both this legacy and the ptq. My store and the venue are only 10 minutes apart, but if you can't make both I appreciate you coming to either.

Had about 60 players in the store Friday night... which is suspiciously high for Mid-March :eek:

Alot of out of towners are already in town, which is awesome. I have seating up for 86. Can do 100 at max capacity if need be. We've done it before :laugh:

Couple last minute things worth mentioning:

1) Google Maps still lists DHG at our old address of 1005 main st. in pawtucket. Don't go there. :tongue:

2) We reserve the right to time top 8, and in all honesty it will probably happen. I will mostly likely do 1 hour for top 8. I know timed top 8's are not usually popular, but I do what I have to do to make sure we end in a timely fashion. I have a ptq the next day and I have to be up at the crack of dawn (just like I am right now :laugh:).

3) We're starting at noon. For reals. Calling me stating you'll be late will not stop penalties. If you're running late, just show up and I'll do everything I can to get you in the tourney , but showing up past 11:50 is playing with fire because I'm very serious about getting this event up and running at noon.

Anywho, I'm massively looking forward to today. I need to get my 5 hours of sleep right now, but I will be at the store for 10:30 and you can definitely come as early as then if you're in the area.

Don't assume it's a pair down... Ever. Thats what I took from that incident. I ended up losing to stingscourgers the round after we played and dropped. I still feel bad that happened to you though.

I had a blast running this event and sincerely thank all of you for attending it. It was a terrific lead-in to our Modern PTQ the next day that drew 135 players :o

Was absolutely the most fun I have had judging a legacy event yet. Even as the lone judge of an 85 person legacy event, it was very easy going with few problems. It was a blast to judge for all you who attending and hope to see you guys again!

For those who are wondering....

There should be 4 Savannah, 1 more Scavenging Ooze, and one Sword of Light and Shadow (Didn't have them, and they would have made life much easier). Null rod should be a Stony Silence (duh).Thrun was Josh Cicio's idea, and it came through huge in multiple matchups.

Thanks for the props Tim and Jay. Unfortunately Tim, I just copied the deck. I pretty much didn't test it, but I knew the deck was perfect because the creator of it is very good. The deck was very well positioned there and my loses were due to me mulling then proceeding to lose to sword of fire ice in both my match loses. I can't complain much, I did lose round one and win out.

Jay, you had a sick tournament esp considering you were very drunk the night before and barely slept. Well besides playing slower than I thought was humanly possible in top 4 and the two games in the finals. Haha

I had a PTQ the next day... I said before the event in this thread that top 8 was most likely going to be timed.

Gave everyone an hour in top 8, was plenty of time. You ended up splitting with Jason after playing for 50 minutes in the finals... so IMO that part was unnecessary :tongue:

Hey guys! I'm Rob... I ran budget punishing list, which according to this got 7th place. I'm hoping this is just a typo tho xD, cuz I received the 8th place price :eek:. Anyway, great tournament, I'll be sure to play again the next time buncha duals makes its return!
