Hey -
I haven't played magic in a while, but am looking to get back in to it; are there any weekly 1.5 tournies in the Needham MA area? I looked through the forum with locations, and found some in Worcester or bridgewater, both of which are roughly 40 minutes away from me. I'm ok with that, but just looking for the biggest/best of the area for that trek. Anyone in a similar boat with any answers? Thanks in advance :)

We play monday nights in Cambridge at Pandemonium Books and Games, $5 entry. Proxies are allowed, but few people use them. Usually ~15 people and 4 rounds with store credit to 3-1 or better.

Pandemonium is your best bet, it's rather easy to take the Red Line to Central via Braintree.

Awesome. I'll be coming up as soon as I can make a stop by home to pick up my cards. Thanks.

Most of the people who play Mondays at pandemonium also play an unsanctioned cash tournament on Thursdays over near fenway.
Hi, I'm in a similar boat as you (moved to Waltham 2 months ago). There's a ton of options BUT you are looking at some travel no matter what. Here's what my homework found me so far:
Sunday-Worcester @ That's Entertainment. Haven't been there yet but I hear they cap out at 32 players regularly.
Also Sunday-Danvers @ Toys N Things (6-8 players)
Monday-Cambridge @ Pandemonium Books (may try soon)
Tuesday: Plainville @ Battleground Games (8-16 players)
Wednesday-Bridgewater @ Scholar's (8-16 players)
Thursday-Lincoln, RI @Die Hard Games (8-16 players)
Me personally, I end up sticking more to weekends just because it's a pain to rush home from work, change, and get on the road by 6 and fight traffic to make a 7PM tourney, then make it home at midnight. Haven't tried Pandemonium on a Monday yet but if the parking issue is solvable that's a good candidate.

Harrison's Cards and Comics in Salem, MA just started sanctioned Legacy on Saturdays at 1pm. That's probably too far from Needham, but thought I would mention it for the sake of completeness.
Actually that's awesome for me because I was looking something regular on Saturdays because most of what you see on Saturdays is PTQs and GPTs. I'll be sure to check it out.

Awesome! Looking forward to seeing you there. PM me when you think you'll be coming and I'll try to make it that weekend. (I can usually only make it once or twice a month, unfortunately). I'm happy to see a Legacy community developing up here.

I use to play every Sunday in Worcester. As far as attendance goes it is your best option for sure, they yet 20ish players a week I believe.

There are 2 lots that usually don't fill up, but I don't know how much it is hourly for parking. Attendance wise there are usually 10-15 people, Monday night is split with drafting so some people do that instead.
