I'm going to be living in Santa Fe for a term this year, and I was curious about any Legacy in the area. Is anyone here from around there?

I know Albuquerque has a few stores that have tournaments, but it's been a couple years since I last visited and I don't remember the names. Not too far of a drive.

I don't even know about Albuquerque to be honest. I stopped going because for a while we couldn't get 8 people for sanctioning and then I got busy with school :(.

I get the impression that there actually are a decent number of legacy players around but getting them all in one place at the same time is...challenging, but perhaps with a bit of organization something can be made to happen.

Active Immagination, used to run legacy; they have been having some problems with the owner getting sick so their organization is pretty bad
Ares Wargames, mostly does standard, though the turn out for that is pretty good we regularly get 5-6 rounds (30-40+ people). I end up going there
Twin Suns, opened not too long ago, I think they mostly do drafts, I heard they do cube drafts with prizes

I think there is a store in the Rio Rancho area called Kaboom...but my friends tell me the people are pretty newbish.
I know Santa Fe has at least one game store that runs prereleases but I don't know about legacy.

Hope that helps a bit...
