I assume by now many of you have heard about the mass of suspensions starting 2/20/12 which includes Calosso and Edgar Flores and like 50 more people. Wizards has as of now said nothing yet but I can't help but think maybe this is all due to the Open Series making not only for more video coverage and evidence, but also simply more big tourneys with a real judging staff.
Hopefully this round of suspensions sends a message that Wizards is finally getting really serious about rules enforcement.
Anyway, any other thoughts on the suspensions?

I'm a little lost. Why did Flores get suspended?
I've seen two explanations for it.
The first, and more common one, involves him drawing extra cards during a feature match. He's on the play, plays a land, and passes, and before he draw you can clearly see seven cards in his hand. Then he draws, plays a land, casts Stoneforge Mystic (or something), and you can clearly see he has six cards in hand.
The second explanation involves something with Bitterblossom tokens in a Legacy event. I think he ended up deliberately missing a point of life loss or something and then won the game at one life.
Nothing official has been announced about it, though.

The later of these two resulted in a DQ from an event, so more likely that one.

Typically, it's a pattern of behavior that leads to suspensions like this, not one particular instance. I am sure the DQ was a significant factor, but I also believe he was under investigation for some time, and the DQ was kind of the nail in the coffin. 3 months is a little odd, though.
I'm more interested in hearing what happened to Calosso. That's just funny to me.

That's incorrect. Any DQ goes to the investigation committee, so that's by far the most common source of suspensions. "Pattern of behavior" type suspensions are rare, though past DQs can influence decisions on suspensions. The committee would've looked at the circumstances around the DQ alone.
Edgar Flores only got 3 months, the lightest penalty the committee hands out, so they were clearly not convinced whatever he was DQed for was premeditated cheating.
