Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, the new white legend from Dark Ascension has really caught my eye lately as the general in some sort of white weenie deck. Trouble is, I'm stuck on ideas. There are a few cards I figure are given for this kind of list:

Crackdown seems perfect. I originally considered Meekstone in this spot, but Crackdown is strictly better.

Since we're going for white weenie, some number of Crusade effects will be needed to keep up with the big boys.

I've been considering going in a semi-control direction and running things like Aven Mindcensor and Leonin Arbiter.

Any other suggestions would be welcome.

Maybe try her in mono-white staxx.

I have been thinking about doing the same thing, however, I think some more insurance is necessary. I was gonna go with Gaddock Teeg and do a number of taxing effects. Yea Staxx would probably be nastier if you go with Thalia, however, staxx pisses people off. Here is a rough list: http://essentialmagic.com/decks/View.asp?ID=919007

I thought about it too, but I keep thinking that she would be better as a piece of some annoying-ass Grand Arbiter Augustin IV deck - which means that instantly you just get gang banged in multiplayer, because the minute one player starts taxing the rest of the board you are a giant freaking target. Having said that, I guess I wouldn't mind being the jackass with Thalia, Grand Arbiter, Lodestone Golem and Trini/Crucible in play.

I'm not sure how useful Trinisphere is in EDH since the format tends to be the home of big mana haymakers. The rest of the taxing stuff is definitely up for consideration, as is Thalia's not-so-efficient functional copy Glowrider.

I may have just been naming lockpieces I could think of, instead of really thinking about what-does-what in EDH. vOv I guesa an early Trinisphere would make playing a ton of artifact mana difficult, but so would a Turn 1 Thalia, so yeah.
