So this question has come up in my EDH pod and some people have become sandy over it.
If I have Vorinclex in play and my opponent then on his turn taps his mana to kill him, do his lands untap on his turn?

Alternate: If his lands do untap then this question is relevant. I have Vorinclex out, he is killed, and then on my turn I get out Vorinclex again, would his lands untap?

Thanks!

Vorinclex only applies its effect if the land is tapped while Vorinclex is on the battlefield. If the land is tapped after Vorinclex leaves, it will untap normally. His effect is a triggered ability.

Vorinclex's second ability is a triggered ability that happens whenever a land is tapped. As soon as it triggers, it doesn't matter what happens to Vorinclex, the ability will still apply to that land. To answer the question, the land will still be affected by the ability. Playing a second Vorinclex won't have any effect on land that was already tapped.
