Problems with PayPal on magiccardmarket.eu

For those of you that order cards off of Magic Card Market I was wondering if you have encountered problems trying to add funds to your account through PayPal. I've been using the site for several months now with no problems but for the last 10 days I have been unable to credit my account and keep receiving this message:


We are sorry, we are experiencing temporary difficulties. Please try again later. If this error occurred while making a payment, avoid duplicate payments by checking your Account Overview before resending a payment.

Message 3005


Has anybody had similar problems? Any suggestions on how I might otherwise credit my account? There are minty fresh Volcanics to be bought and I've been helpless. Any suggestions would be welcome.

I was about to do my first purchase on MKM and was thinking about using paypal instead of the money transfer to their account. Thanks for the heads up. I will try it tonight and let you know if it worked or not.

Do you know if the error occurred while you were within the PayPal API portion of the process? Judging by the error code, I think it's likely.
This might not be a magiccardmarket problem, but a PayPal problem.
I would give PayPal customer support a call to see if they placed an authorization/pending charge for the amount you tried to transfer. If so, you should be able to contact someone at magiccardmarket and have them apply the funds if they have a PayPal transaction ID based on this transaction.
Otherwise, they may ask you to try again if it's fixed. They would only officially charge you versus one of the successful authorizations so you wouldn't be double charged and any other authorization/pending charge will expire and the funds will be returned to your PayPal/whateverAccountYouHaveSetUpWithPayPal.

Aside from ebay are there any websites like eumagiccardmarket in the United States? I don't want to have to buy from SCG when I go back. What websites do you Americans use to purchase cards?

I make many purchases from www.cardshark.com. Also, there is always MOTL which of course has its pluses and minuses.

Cardshark has some pretty unfair seller practices though. They take $1 off shipping, plus 10% or so of final sell price. Also, they tell you to ship in plain white envelopes, as they don't want to pay for bubble mailers.

Well that blows. What are my other options? Also, Cardshark looks like crap compared to magiccardmarket.eu
