So, I'm offered a Mishra's Workshop that has supposedly been bleached by the sun sitting in the window of a game shop for years.
What do you guys think, and IF it's real, how much would you rate it?

Sitting in the sun should only bleach one side, which makes me suspicious.

Good thing he was nice enough to make the photos extra blurry.
Don't buy this trash.

I told *HER* that I couldn't evaluate the card and that I'd need to see it for real and measure it up with a raster-meter. And that, IF it was real, I'd value it at 50% of the card at most. Then, silence :p
How do you know the card is real even with a decent scan until it arrives anyhow? This looks very suspicious yes but I'm curious because I remember reading somebody buying a fake Mox Sapphire from Ebay in the Pimped Legacy decks thread.

There were a bunch of fakes that came out of Peru a few years ago, and there were some Workshops in the bunch. They look like that, and they have Alpha corners. Get a better pic and I think you'll be able to tell. My money is on fake.

Funny, its supposed to come from 'the south of America'. That may well be South America :p

If I was going to sell high dollar shit like that, at the very least I'd have a good pic. Sketchey at best in my opinion.
Hello,
I made an account just for this topic actually.
I have been offered the exact same card (the person mailed me the exact same pictures)
I asked for better ones and she send them to me. I think this card is a fake one. (Pictures attached) because of the following reasons:
- The corners are rounder than the should be (more like alpha cards)
- The deckmaster logo on the back is different
- The letters itself are different (look closely at the "D" "E" and "K"
- The blue lines around the "T" and "E" are lacking.
- The logo for Antiquities is a little bit different.
- It misses 2 little holes in the base of the anvil
- The point op the envil is different in my opinion
Please let me know what you guys think about this..
Cheers!

On the last picture, the Workshop is on the left and a different (I think real card) is on the right.

I'm no expert, but I personally wouldn't purchase a "Mishras Workshop".
Lol,
Didn't even see that one!
Thnx, now I'm sure this is a fake one.
Bruizar, don't trade this card! I'm not doing it anyway..
Cheers

I wasn't planning on trading the card, because I'm always on the side of caution when it comes to these things. I sent a link to this thread to the mods of the community where "SHE" offered it. Since you can't go about accusing people of shit out of the blue, I thought I'd consult the thesource crowd first. Now I sort of regret that I didn't play along and sent "HER" a copy of a bazaar of baghdad, or you know, trick "HER" into doing a deal with me, then going to the cops for copyright infringement, imitating or at least fencing. :-)

@whis: The corners also look wrong. It's almost as if the forger wants to get caught.
@bruizar Yeah, noticed that too!
She offered to send her Workshop to me first, she said it without hesitating, really wanted to rush things. That made me extra suspicious.

Yeah, the person wanted to rush things on me too, so I said, "in that case nevermind, I'm not in the position to make rash decisions about valuable cards." Then she crawled back and asked me what she could do to let me come to a decision. I really have an itch to catch the person. I was already googling around a bit for *her* identity.

While I clearly advice against buying this "card", I want to note that I don't see an apostrophe on the original card. Just a space between Mishra and the "s". Or what am I missing?
@Julian23
That's correct. But in this case, the space is missing. It says "Mishras Workshop" instead of "Mishra s Workshop" Look closey, you'll see it.

IS this "she' from Ohio? Is her name Josephine? A woman from Ohio named Josephine tried to scam me for 3 underground seas a few months ago.
EDIT:
Looks like a very effeminate "Michael"
@rxavage
This person is from the Netherlands. Name is the card name of the card Bruizar just uploaded! ;)
