Following situation: I have a Flayer of the Hatebound in my graveyard. My opponent decides to Reanimate it. The judge in the last tourney said, that the trigger of Flayer does not resolve, because it doesn't come to play on my side. However, magiccards.info says: "Flayer of the Hatebound's last ability will trigger even if a creature enters the battlefield from your graveyard under another player's control."

So my question is now: In the above situation, who controlls the trigger of the Flayer? Me or my opponent? I think my opponent can shoot me 4 damage in the face, when he reanimates my Flayer, and this is kinda bleh. :frown:

You're misreading. The rules tip on magiccards.info (which is scraped from Gatherer) is referring to a creature being reanimated from the graveyard of the controller of the Flayer.

"You" or "your" always refers to the controller of a permanent. Flayer's ability doesn't care under which player's control a creature is entering the battlefield, only that it came from the graveyard of the Flayer's controler.

If your opponent reanimates a Flayer from your graveyard, it will not trigger since it did not come from the graveyard of the controller of the Flayer. If you control a Flayer, though, and an opponent reanimates a creature from your graveyard, your Flayer will trigger.

I have a question about timing and Flayer (which has been answered before, sorry for being lazy/ignorant.)
If I sac Flayer for Dread Return, does the undying ability trigger before the resolution of Dread Return?

Thanks.
I guess this guy is why Dredge got a lot better recently.
(sorry I've been out of the country for a month, still catching up)

To be precise, undying triggers when you sacrifice Flayer and then goes on the stack once Dread Return is fully cast and on the stack (so undying will be above DR and resolve first).

Thank you for the explanation. This guy is one of Dredge's new best friends (and mine).
