Now that everyone's so serious about the new cards I thought that I could make a thread to lighten the mood. So, everyone kinda has their pet cards I presume and I've never ever owned Warrior's Oath, but I've been really drawn close to it lately. The card is pretty powerful, really rare and the flavor text is one of the best I've ever read.
So, out of curiosity I've been interested about building a deck with Warrior's Oath. I've never ever heard of a deck that plays this card in legacy and I don't actually even have an idea about what to play with this. Therefore I decided to be lazy and ask you for any ideas about what to play with it or if you know a deck where this card could be played, preferred in multiples. ;)

There's a deck called Final Fantasy built around the interaction of Platinum Angel and Final Fortune. Add Isochron Scepter. Note that you can't imprint Warrior's Oath though.
In general, I'd try running that card in an aggressive Rx shell that could actually benefit from the additional attack phase.

When someone suggested Sunforger+Puresteel Paladin I wondered about Final Fortune as a way to help get the :w::w::r: it would need to go off. Under normal circumstances it'd be silly to cast it on the opponent's turn, so it's a little suprising that the 'instant' aspect of that card ends up being handy.
Since the game loss is a triggered ability, you can counter it with Stifle or Trickbind, Angel's Grace avoids the game loss, and Lich's Mirror replaces it... An issue is that spending 3-4 mana and 2 cards for an extra turn is typically not that great.
I'm not sure there's any efficient way to ramp mana for it, but you could possibly play Warrior's Oath in a Hive Mind deck. I also think it's a better card for a zoo-like deck that tries to win through the red zone...

I don't think that's a good way to do it. Aside from having a chance of fizzling, doesn't the FF turn take priority if you cast it during your opponent's turn?

It's for use on your own turn -- like Isochron Scepter, Sunforger is restricted to instant cards.

I remember people trying to make a deck built around that and Sundial of the Infinite. You cast Final Fortune or Warrior's Oath, then end the turn before you lose the next turn. Not a bad trick and since there is 3 different versions of Warrior's Oath (Final Fortune and Last Chance) you can play a ton of these effects and chain them.
No idea on how that deck idea worked out. I thought it had some merit, but I don't think many people worked on it.

I believe that this was used as a one or two-of in some goblins decks back before tarmogoyf started wrecking.
