With the recent outburst of idea's with Miracle cards, I have evolved an already existent combo idea with Temporal Mastery to hasten the finish. I have tested several games against TES and RUG, with gerneraly positive results. I would like to expand on the idea and hope to find more consistency as the deck evolves.

So, here is the list: Doomsday Miracle

//Lands: 17
3x Flooded Strand
1x Island
1x Swamp
4x Underground Sea
4x Polluted Delta
4x Shelldock Isle

//Creatures: 4
4x Laboratory Maniac

//Spells: 39
4x Daze
4x Force of Will
4x Thoughtseize
4x Duress
4x Brainstorm
4x Dark Ritual
4x Doomsday
4x Temporal Mastery
4x Lotus Petal
3x Intuition

//Sideboard: 15
3x Show and Tell
4x Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
4x Leyline of the Void
4x Chill

Combo: Doomsday > Shelldock Isle, Laboratory Maniac, Temporal Mastery x3

Protection: Duress, Thoughtseize, Force of Will, Daze

Accelleration: Dark Ritual, Lotus Petal

Draw: Intuition, Brainstorm

It is a simple Combo, which has the ability to go off T2. get Laboratory Maniac out with Shelldock Isle and then finish your back to back turns from 3 Temporal Mastery to win the game.

Play the deck and tell me what you think. I am actually thinking of dropping Intuition, but I am not sold yet. I already dropped Lions Eye Diamond, it wasn't a good fit.

Hi first off thanks for starting a conversation about adapting DDFT to experiment with TM.

A couple things that I see right off the bat that you may consider changing about your list would be:

1. It should include Sensei's Divining Top somewhere in the main. Next to counter/top doomsday is one of the best decks to utilize Top.

2. 4 of both SI and Lab Maniac seems like alot considering the line of play that you suggest always has it being utilized from Shelldock Isle. Id probably cut both of those down to singletons. This could find room for something like Burning Wish since it can find Temporal Mastery or Doomsday out of the board for you.

3. Personal Tutor although card disadvantage might have a home here if you include top, alternativly you could play Lim-Dul's Vault.

Anyway please note that I will test your list and give more results oriented feedback later but this was just my gut reaction to your list.

You should probably play TM as a 2 or 3 of since you don't really want to see it in the opening seven, and you really only neet one as an untap effect at the end of the game (double brainstorm costs the same mana, and closes the door just as hard.)

You might consider Portent though I'm not sure there's enough miracle involved to justify it.

Just curious as to why this DD build would work over the already established builds that win with tendrils. Not trying to engage in any polemic here, just genuinely curious.

The point of Doomsday has always been to mass tutor for the five cards that you NEED to win at that EXACT point in time. These cards include rain of filth, chain of vapor, burning wish, etc. - and it seems that being able to win only through a single pile makes the deck, well, just weaker than its alternative. What happens when your opponent plays a Gaddock Teeg?

Am I being dense, or can Gitaxian Probe substitute for Temporal Mastery in the Doomsday pile in most situations? (Yes, it doesn't work if you're at very low life.)

No, you're not being dense. Also, you're required life total could vary depending on how much blue mana is available to you. You could just win via some combination of Probe and Brainstorms.

This decklist is clearly suboptimal.

NeoTech, I suggest doing a forum search for the existing Doomsday threads, as they contain a great wealth of theory and functioning decklists.

I know of the other doomsday threads. I am simply trying to help extend the idea's of the use of Miracle cards, as the other threads for Miracle decks are doing the same. Nobody is saying anything is better, but they are just idea's to help everybody break into the idea of Miracle cards.
