Can a creature that is in a band with a shadow creature be blocked by another shadow creature? (I understand the band can be blocked by a non shadow creature.)

I'm working on a cube, I'm trying to put as many cards from the Dark in as possible, and thanks to Knights of Thorn this could come up.

Yep. If you can block one of the banded creatures, you block them all. So a band of regular creature + shadow creature can actually be blocked by anything.

No, because banding is terrible and no one uses it. Therefore, you'll likely never encounter it. In the event it happens, Nihil is correct.

To clarify, a creature with shadow cannot directly block an attacking creature without shadow regardless of any bands. However, if any member of the band is blocked, every creature in the band becomes blocked by that same creature. In the situation presented, the creature with shadow can block the attacking creature with shadow, which causes all the creatures in that attacking band to become blocked as well.

If an attacking creature becomes blocked by a creature, each other creature in the same band as the attacking creature becomes blocked by that same blocking creature.

Banding is actually quite powerful, and makes very interesting combat situations. The only problem is that all the creatures that have the ability are horribly underpowered.

Exactly. The creatures with banding all suck.

Now creatures with shadow...
