[The Source] Slow to load?

I've noticed it a few times before, and today is especially slow.

I keep noticing it's trying to pull up "wait on deckbox.org..." in my status bar. Has anyone else had loading issues on this site due to the Deckbox plugin?

Would using the magiccards.info plug-in work better?

I was having that problem. Then I added the deckbox.org javascript to my adblock. Now everything loads fine. I wonder what that was doing. Apparently nothing useful.

Edit: Oh, right card images. Koby may be on to something with magiccards.info. I'd rather have the page actually load than have card image tags though.

A problem as old as the card tags being added. It should be easy to fix server-side, but nothing's ever been done.

Ya that did the trick. Blocking Dekcbox.org as an ad service made the site snappy again.

I'm a moderator on a danish magic-site also sporting the deckbox.org tooltips. I was just about to make a thread here. I discovered the problem using Google Chrome developer tools as seen here:

What we did, was removing the add-in until deckbox.org goes online again. When they do, I guess we have to make a local copy of the required java scripts and probably modify them,

IIRC there's an issue with their host. There weren't a lot of details when I last checked because the deckbox people were having a hard time getting info out of their host.

Same problem here. The Source loads just fine on my iPhone, but horribly on any PC.

Yeah I basically can't use this site right now. It's like I'm using a 2800 BPS modem to load the pages :)

We basically need Zilla to handle this, the rest of us don't have access to the server stuff.

For the time being, block deckbox.org however you can. Adblock, RequestPolicy, etc. are all fine. Adding deckbox.org 127.0.0.1 to your HOSTS file should also work.

Well something got fixed. The site is loading like normal now.
