t's that time again!
Last event we had 10 players, with 2 archetypes represented twice. I'm hoping to have at least 16 players this time, but I really want to have enough that the Mox Sapphire is part of the prize pool.

We plan on playing Vintage every 5th Sunday (roughly 4-5 times a year)

I don't know about you, but I'm tired of hearing about the Opens in the Northeast and Ohio - we should help form the metagame as well. Help me out & reinvigorate the Vintage community in Texas.

What's that? You don't have a deck? Grab some basic lands and a sharpie!
Don't know how to play Vintage? Well if you understand Magic you can do it!

Come out and play what I think is the most skill intensive format out there. The only format where a resolved Flying Spaghetti Monster means nothing & life points don't matter!

VINTAGE!

LOCATION:

PRIZE STRUCTURE:
8-12 players - Cut to Top 4:
1st: 1 Revised Tropical Island
2nd: 50% of prize pool (store credit)
3rd/4th: 25% of prize pool (store credit)

13-24 players - Cut to Top 4:
1st: 2 Revised Tropical Islands
2nd: 50% of prize pool (store credit)
3rd/4th: 25% of prize pool (store credit)

25+ players - Cut to Top 8:
1st: Unlimited Mox Sapphire (near mint)
2nd: 2 Revised Tropical Islands
3rd/4th: 25% of prize pool (store credit)
5th - 8th: 12.5% of prize pool (store credit)

There are 3 ways to make proxies. (I am going to try my best to upload picture examples on this)

1) Take a basic land card and write the details of the card on it with a fine tip marker. Ball point pens are unacceptable.
2) Take a card that shares some of the characteristics with the card that is being proxied and erase any characteristics that do not match, replacing them with the correct characteristics. See: http://forums.starcitygames.com/viewtopic.php?t=291560 for more details on how to do this.
3) Print out all 75 cards slipping the paper into the sleeve.

Please let me know if you want to preregister. I would love to be able to say for certain that we are playing for the Mox Sapphire.

Hopefully we will see you there.

This being on a Sunday makes it more difficult for people from out of town to play :(

We will take that into account on the next event. Especially if I know how many players we are losing to it being a Sunday.

There is a PTQ in Ft Worth on Saturday the 28th, so maybe some players will be in town for that and can stick around.

The next event will be either Sep 29th or 30th.
