I found a style I really like. You may recall the "Demigod Deck Wins" strategy that was in Standard back when Shadowmoor and Eventide had been released. A rough skeleton of the deck is :
4 Mogg Fanatic
4 Figure of Destiny (Different lists used 4-4 Fanatic-Figure, some 4-4 Fanatic-Tattermunge Maniac, some 4-4 Figure-Tattermunge Maniac)
4 Stigma Lasher/Vexing Shusher
4 Ashenmoor Gouger
4 Boggart Ram-Gang
4 Demigod of Revenge
4 Flame Javelin
4 Lash Out
4 Shock
24 Mountains
I like the way it can power out a big guy. So, I decided to take a similar approach for my casual game. Given that I'm going less burn and blitz, Kargan Dragonlord and Ember Hauler seem like solid options. Ember Hauler is a surrogate Stigma Lasher/Vexing Shusher, while the Kargan Dragonlord can function in the role of either Ashenmoor Gouger or Boggart Ram-Gang thanks to his Level Up ability.
Again, Jackal Pup is there for nostalgia's sake, and the Lavamancer is a bit of extra burn. Now, for the burn I'm trying Lash Out, as it can help clear the way for one of my creatures and provide some draw set-up. Plus if I win a Clash, it can be sort of like Searing Blaze. Searing Blaze is, of course, there to take advantage of all the fetches and the high land count.
I've got a singleton of Koth here to provide a late-game push or the ramp my Dragonlords. The main kill is a Grandeur'd Tarox Bladewing, who has a cost just like Demigod's. Since its casual, I figure why not go out with a Dragon Legend? :P
Once we get Thundermaw Hellkite, I might run 2 of him, and a singleton Banefire.
