Want to know how I autopiloted myself out of a money finish at GP Ghent with UWb Miracles, hear about all the cool people I met (I even get to name-drop for once!) and get some up to date deck technology for different archetypes? It's all in there, take a look!

I for one really appreciate the amount of SPOD name-dropping in there =)

I also enjoyed our match in Ghent and look forward to meeting again. Perhaps when the matchup’s a little less one sided :)

No Stoneforge Mystics. That makes me sad :(. Anyway great article!

The article was a good read. Sucks to hear having to play Stax in Day 2, but sometimes, decks like that manage to mise wins all the way to the top.

I think Moat is definitely a great card to be playing now. Goblins, Merfolk, Elves, and even to an extent, Maverick.

How have you been finding 3 Counterbalance? I've been running a 3/4 CB/Top split in Esper Thopters for a while and have really like it.

Even though it's a bit narrow, have you considered Poryphry Nodes at all? EE is great, but Nodes nicely sits there against RUG, and can also kill a Show-and-Tell'd fatty if need be, plus, it doesn't target. It might be something to consider, but since you're not running Enlightened Tutor, it may not be worth it for you.

Feel free to swing by the Thopters thread if you feel like it :)

@Stefan: I'll take the lopsided matchup again next time - having your good matchup against good players is tech :p

@preddi: Still don't like the damn things, they die much too often before doing anything for my liking. Not that they're bad (obviously aren't), I just don't like how they shape the flow of the game.

@Matt: Losing to/playing against Stax is a good thing - shows how much is actually viable in Legacy.

CBs were excellent, I might want to play a full set next time if I can find room.

Nodes: I had those in the SB originally but they left for cards that were more effective at the job. I decided to rather use EEs as my backup anti-Mongoose plan, as they're much better in the mirror. And against fast aggro PtE is the stronger option. Essentially they fell through the cracks when I drew up what kind of overlapped I wanted to have access to.

As for Thopters, it's been far too long since I played with that to do more than give generalized opinions, so I wouldn't be all that helpful in the thread. I feel if I use slots on actual wincons, I might as well make them Entreats as those do something without finding a second piece and I don't really like the gameplan having CBs, Tops and ETutors in your deck leads to. Too much handsize investment for my liking.

@tammit: Thanks, I'll try!
