Hi, folks,
I hope you can help me to get this straight. Here is what happened today at the frequent legacy tournament at my LGS:
I'm on GBW Nic Fit, my opponent is on a mono black "gateish" deck. He has Dark Confidant equipped with SoLaS and a Jitte without any counters. I'm tapped out and have a board of Deed and Veteran Explorer. he attacks, I block and after damage I want to crack deed with the triggered ability from Jitte (gaining two counters) still on the stack using the lands fetched by resolution of Veteran Explorers triggered ability. I figured since he is the active player his Jitte trigger goes on the stack first an the explorer trigger goes on the stack immediately after combat damage happens because putting it into the GY as a state based action happens as soon my opponent regains priority after damage.
We both were kind of puzzled over this. In the end I let him resolve his Jitte activation because it didn't matter to me and we were under some time pressure.
I hope, I was able to get my point across and appreciate any reply.

Combat damage happens, State-based actions are checked and your explorer is put into the GY. All triggers are then put on the stack in APNAP turn order. You are correct in that Explorer's trigger will resolve before Jitte's counters. After that resolves, both players have the chance to respond to the jitte as well, which may including using deed if you so choose

Edit: Exact Ruling "603.3b If multiple abilities have triggered since the last time a player received priority, each player, in APNAP order, puts triggered abilities he or she controls on the stack in any order he or she chooses. (See rule 101.4.) Then the game once again checks for and resolves state-based actions until none are performed, then abilities that triggered during this process go on the stack. This process repeats until no new state-based actions are performed and no abilities trigger. Then the appropriate player gets priority."

Thanks to Tammit67 for this lightning fast reply.
Good to see I had the correct line of thought though I wasn't able to explain it convincingly during the tournament.
