Will once again be doing a free side event at 50 or more players. Prize currently undetermined, but I think it's going to involve a playset of fetchlands

Looking forward to this event more than most, as I always enjoy running these and this will probably be our last Buncha Duals event of 2012

Sincerely hope you'll join us for what should be a fun time!

P.S. also sincerely hope you'll join me for my PTQ in S. Attleboro a week earlier on 11/3 *end shameless plug*

Our final Buncha Duals of 2012 is THIS SATURDAY.

We're riding hot off the heels of our 216 player PTQ (thanks to all who entered ) and many people approached me saying they were attending this so that's exciting.

We have lots of prizes lined up depending on how many enter. Regardless of attendance all 16 blue duals and 4 RTR boxes will be paid to top 8

We sincerely hope you will join us this Saturday for our Buncha Duals!

A solid 48 players showed up to battle for a bunch of duals!

A well run tournament ensued thanks to the always honorable and newly minted level 2 judge Tim!

Lots of varied decks emerged, which was a pleasant surprise. The top 8 reflects that pretty well and after six rounds we had 4-1-1 or better got in with the exception of Pat Broderick who was 9th on breakers  I still gave him prize

Playoff Brackets were as follows:

Tom Smiley  /w Bant Stoneblade vs. Josh Cicio /w Deathrite Rock

8th place decklist unavailable sorry

Observations:

I was glad to see Burn crack a top 8. Especially with the pilot being Alyssa since she said this was her first top 8 of a major event and that was awesome to see  Tom and Alyssa also mark the first time a couple has both made the top 8 in one of my events

Taylor Pratt Top 8'd our 216 player PTQ the week earlier and has been riding hot. I liked his odds better in this event since he didn't pass Mizzium Mortars this time

Jono continues to roll along with I believe 3 top 8's in our Buncha Duals this year. He continues to flaunt in my face that he will not sell me duals

Cicio is also on multiple top 8's from our series on the year. He also won't ever sell me duals

Tim's a really good judge. I look forward to always using him over Amin until the end of time.

I was very happy to end our 2012 Buncha duals Series with this event. I plan on running many more in the future and may actually work it into a series where finishes link into a tournament of champions =0 We'll see ;-)

Edit: Here is the official photo Album for this event! http://www.flickr.com/photos/59115804@N08/sets/72157631987514719/

I sincerely appreciate everyone who supports my store's events, particularly these Buncha Duals as they are my favorite events to run of the hundreds I do each year. Hope everyone has happy holidays. thanks again!

That list is 61 cards, I only had 2 Thoughtseizes.

Also, who ended up snagging those Scalding Tarn's? I didn't realize 2 of them were Japanese... I want.
