There are a handful of Saproling-making creatures I run with Rith:
Verdeloth the Ancient
Nemata, Grove Guardian
Verdant Force
Mycoloth
Verdeloth can put a ton of power onto the board all at once, which is especially potent with Survival and Anger. Nemata acts as an Overrun and a token producer. Verdant Force is great in multiplayer, and Mycoloth is usually relatively solid. I run many more Comes-into-Play creatures than you do to make Mycoloth, Aura Shards, and Glare of Subdual stronger, so Mycoloth usually has several creatures to devour.

Of course, all of these suggestions are very strong with Aura Shards, Glare of Subdual, Parallel Lives, Skullclamp, and Beastmaster Ascension.

Do you usually use Natural Affinity to make an offensive army of creatures, or to Armageddon?

I usually use Natural affinity as an Armageddon when someone sweeps the board or as a super blowout with Elesh Norn. It has been combined with beastmaster ascension for a finisher once in a while. I had Verdant force and some similar creatures in but it seemed for 8 mana I got 1-2 Saprolings then my creature got killed. I tried to keep the mana curve relatively low and more mid range to create more keepable starting hands.
