If you're on the rat theme, you might consider Ratcatcher and maybe Pack Rat.

If you're on the combo theme:

Shrieking Drake essentially does X damage to each of your opponents when Vela is in play, where X is the number of Islands you have.

Deadeye Navigator is similar, and completely bonkers with Cloud of Faeries..."infinite" damage with Vela in play. You can also easily make "infinite" mana if you include High Tide/Bubbling Muck in the mix.

For now its a strange mix of combat based deck with few cards able to startup the combo. In a manner - Play rats, when Sphinx enters the game, discard them for draw a lot of cards. Recycle them to mana with Crypt of agadeem...

Mind over matter will probably not be viable for being too blue.

Teferi's Veil - once rats/other creatures finish attack and deal damage they phase out and cannot be harmed by sorcery spells such as Wrath of god
Dream halls, Omniscience and Zombie infestation represent possibility how to use up cards gained by combo.

Fade away, Damnation - pretty obvious. I would like to kill my own creatures.
Day of the Dragons - both creatures and dragon tokens leave battlefield... 3 blue in cost is pretty much..
Eldrazi Monument - sacrifice is also path...

Vela is now supported by Marrow-gnawer who grants fear, and Lord of Wu which provides horses...

I added Deadeye navigator and all cards which in this deck can kill everyone. There are two goals:
a) To become "that guy" and still be able to win.
b) To convince people who are taking care of EDH/Commander that Deadeye navigator should be banned :)
