I've been slowly expanding my casual decks and have decided to have one for each color (Green: Treefolk, Black: Dark Suspicions, White: Enduring Renewal Combo, etc). So coming to Red, I decided to follow somewhat in the footsteps of my Dark Suspicions deck (lock people out of mana/creatures with Contamination, Bottled Cloister+Ensnaring Bridge) and went in the direction of Land Destruction. The idea being to play out mana rocks and use them with Mana Geyser to pump out fatties like Wurmcoil Engine, Sundering Titan, and Magmatic Force while shutting people down with Destructive Force and Wildfire.
I found this as a preliminary list on a forum:
24 Mountain
4 Magmatic Force
4 Wurmcoil Engine
2 Sundering Titan
2 Deus of Calamity
1 Sol Ring
3 Fire Diamond
4 Thran Dynamo
4 Heart of Ramos
2 Worn Powerstone
4 Seething Song
4 Destructive Force
2 Wildfire
If anyone has had any experience playing this type of deck, I'd be interested to hear back.
Edit: List updated

Its a sweet deck. One of my favorites. The on I built was more controlly however. And was UWR. Counterspells, kill spells, and big toughness guys to survive.

An idea I had was to maybe sub the Inferno Titan out and put in Deus of Calamity. That way after sweeping the board I can keep pinging drawn lands off the table. But the RRRRR might be tricky to get ahold of outside of Geyser.

I got pretty much most of the deck in the mail on Saturday (all but the 2 Deus of Calamity). So I'm gonna give it a spin in our multiplayer group tonight. The one change I've made to the deck is:
-4 Mana Geyser
+4 Seething Song
I kept finding that unless you were playing a 5+ player game, Mana Geyser was pretty bad. So I'm keeping it in my deck box in the chance that we get a large group one of these times. I added Seething Song as it was a lot cheaper to cast and accelerated rather nicely in the early turns, whether that was throwing down multiple mana rocks or powering out a Magmatic Force after a Wildfire/Destructive Force.
I'll keep this updated with how it goes.

The session went rather well! I was pretty pleased with the deck. Had a rough first game against a RG Melira combo deck, and a GW creature deck. The RG spent his first few turns Naturalizing and Shattering my mana rocks, so that set me back. I eventually drew enough of them to throw down a Wildfire that nuked everyone's land and would have wiped the GW player's board, but he cast some spell that made all his dudes indestructible till of end of turn. I then got whacked for 12 from him, and after a few turns of draw go from everyone, the RG found Melira, Murderous Redcap, and Ashnod's Altar and won the game.
The next 4-5 games went according to plan. Played mana rocks for first few turns before landing Wildfire/Destructive Force, following that up with a Seething Song+Dynamo into Magmatic Force which ended the game in short fashion every time. In the last game, one guy got his mill/counter deck and just milled and countered everything I did, and beat me down with some blue 5/5 flier for U. Not much I could do there.
So was pretty pleased with how it performed. Sometimes I wish I had more artifact gas, but that could be based on me keeping less than stellar hands. If I make any more changes, I'll update the list in the opening post.
