Sol Aggro Control

So I was playing around with ancient tomb and I had the cool idea of using it with umezawa's jitte and memnite . I decided to make a deck around the idea. Here's my first draft,

4 ethersworn canonist


The deck is extremely expolsive.The game is usually over, or decided by turn three. Thalia, phyrexian metamorph, chalice of the void (@1), and ethersworn canonist help get there against faster decks. I'd like to fit lodestone golem in here (possibly in pace of canonist?), engineered exlposived could be fun too if I switched to rainbow lands.

The goal is to play an equipment on turn one and something to equip it to, I won't have enough artifacts to use mox opal effectively.
Affinity is a different deck entirely, this deck doesn't want tezzeret. It wants cheap disruption that benefits from equipment.

Phyrexian Metamorph should perhaps be Etched Champion or Lodestone Golem. A lot of the stuff Metamorph could copy looks mediocre (Memnite, Ornithopter, Canonist, Chalice, Diamond) or completely awful (Jitte, Thalia), which means it's only going to be good for copying a Plating, Wargear or Stoneforge, or Batterskull, which is only 10 cards in the whole deck. But then again, Lodestone Golem followed up with by a Metamporph is really good.

Yeah I think I'll swamp it out for golem, I was planning on using it against show and tell to legend kill griselbrand, but that's no going to work.

I'm considering porcelain legionnaire, but that may not work the way it I want it too, (I want attrition against random aggro).

If you're going the Artifact route - try Etched Champion. It's one of the best defensive cards you can possibly have, and the best target for Cranial Plating too.

Would cranial plating equip them both? Or is it just good because they're two artifacts?

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by 'both'?
Etched Champion is a great card in affinity due to being an unblockable (potentially) entity, so Cranial Plating is the best thing to attach to it in that deck.
Here you have a few less artifacts, so how playable it is will only be something you'll find in testing.

Looking at your lands;
I'd be pretty reluctant to run 4 Ancient Tomb & 4 City of Traitors.
I have a few combo decks using City, and I find running more than two of them can be problematic.
But..you do have a fairly low curve in your favour.
How have you found this to work in testing?
