Trouble with eBay

So, I have been trying to break into Legacy seriously for a months now, slowly but surely procuring cards, first going after UW Miracles, as I had a lot of the cards minus the duals and original fetches, with the eventual plan of moving to BUG Control, as that's my favorite deck.

I recently bid and won on an auction for 2 Tundra and 2 Underground Sea, won, and never received the cards. The seller had very little feedback, so I wasn't super suprised - I filed for the eBay Buyer Protection, and I got my money back, no problem.

Recently I won two more auctions, one for an Underground Sea, and one for a Tundra, from a seller with good feedback who'd successfully sold and fulfilled other duals orders. Tracking info says they arrived at my leasing office, but they're not there. I assume they're stolen, and I'm shit out of luck for Buyer Protection because the seller shipped them. This is not a complaint on the seller, who I'm sure is completely legit in this case. I'm just ranting because I'm frustrated I'm likely out $200, and also to see if anyone has had similar circumstances who has advice. I contacted the seller to see if the cards were insured, and I'll likely try to file Buyer Protection anyway. Is there anything else that can be done? Should I even bother trying to buy duals off of eBay? I assume tracking info is never wrong?

Er... if cards get stolen from your leasing office, your problem is not with eBay.

If they got stolen out of the mail, you should probably complain to management and file a report with the postal service.

Over a certain dollar threshold - $250 last I knew - you can win a claim against a seller if they didn't send with signature confirmation (requiring a signature on delivery).

The only way for tracking info to be wrong is for the postal worker doing the scanning to lie about it, like scanning something in as delivered when it's not - unlikely.

Yeah I changed the title - my complaint wasn't really with eBay, just to see if anyone had any good ideas as to how to salvage my money. I have very little faith in the post office, but I'll file something anyway. I've talked to management already, but again, they likely won't care at all. I contacted the seller to see if the packages were insured - somehow that seems like my best chance, but again, with the tracking information likely being correct, the post office has no real incentive to do anything about this.

I deal with shipping and tracking numbers almost on a daily basis.
I can tell you that tracking is absolutely not infallible. Sometimes something will say it has been delivered when it has not been. It still might show up. Also, people assume that things are either lost in transit or stolen when they just might be "misplaced". I would suggest asking around the office to see if anyone picked it up by mistake and forgot to tell you.
I would try to file a lost package claim with the carrier. Even though it says "delivered", they can tell you that they'll look around for it. Likely futile, but better than nothing.

Yeah, I talked to the office manager and posted an obviously gigantic note about 2 missing packages where USPS typically leaves them. I'm hoping the tracking was off.

I'll file something with USPS today - maybe it's my perception of the post office, but that strikes me as almost completely useless.
