This has never been an issue but if it comes up I would like to know.
So here it is: if my shattering spree gets mental missteped do my replicate copies still hit?
Replicate triggers on the spell being played, much like storm. If something happens to the original spell, the trigger/copies are still there.

Replicate is an additional cost. So when you finish the process of paying the costs all the copies go onto the stack at the same time, while the replicate second part - trigerred ability gets stacked over the original spell.
I used Train of thought as a version of uncounterable/hard to be countered spell with infinite mana.
To cdr:
I just wonder... Are the copies cast, or put onto the stack?
I am asking because of Flusterstorm, Hindering touch, and even Counterbalance.
Edit:
They are put on the stack.
"Copies created with replicate will have replicate abilities themselves. However, since those copies aren't played, their replicate costs can't be paid and their replicate abilities won't trigger."
Therefore Stifle works, storm spells dont.

Yep, exactly, copies are just put on the stack. It's why you can Shattering Spree with Replicate to still kill a Chalice of the Void with X=1.
