This week I went for some applied deckbuilding. Enjoy!

Good article about how to port a deck to a different format, but mediocre as a legacy article ( if it were written by a no name my opinion would probably be different, but since it's you, I have the bar set a bit higher ). My biggest concern is that you had no short write up about how you did against UW; especially as you are an UW player yourself I would have expected at least something. Would have been cool to know, because Counterbalance and Terminus should beat the deck pretty easily.

Well, even if the deck had the one or other succes ( shamelesly to say, I also lost a match against it with a savage UWR control build, lost one game to my own manabase and another one to not having much but counterbalance and some removal, but it wasn't enough without Top ) I don't think it's viable in the meta right now, or more likely, Legacy as a whole. There are different reasons why the deck shines in Modern - an extremely low number of decks playing Path to Exile, no Wasteland, and no Force of Will. Of course you try to adress some of the weak spots, for example with Brainstorm and Crop Rotation ( really love that card in your deck ) but I don't think it's enough overall. A lot of wins from the infect deck comes from people evaluating things wrong, but once someone knows how to play against it things become way less thrilling. For example, I have hard times to imagine that the Rug Matchup would be 60:40 in the long run, because all cards they play, with the exception of Spell Snare, do something against you while you can't attack their weak spots except for that their only removal is damage based.

I think that the four Force in the original list might be better off as Daze or Flusterstorm. Also, how useful could Bounty of the Hunt be?

A nice read. As someone who has played around with Infect I found it interesting there was no mention of adding speed. Lotus Petals and/or Elvish Spirit Guide have been a great way to win games quickly.

T1: Forest
Opponents EoT: Crop Rotation for Nexus
T2: Forest, Attack. Invigorate, ESG for Berserk
