I know it's been discussed before, but can we get an MTGO Pauper subforum up in this beast?
Reasons:
1: The best reason to have a MODO account if you already own a respectable paper collection.
2: Great entry level Eternal format for people interested in getting into Eternal but limited on funds.
3: Plays out closer to Legacy than Modern or Vintage.
4: A subforum here would be better quality than all other existing forum options.
5: Many pauper players already on website from Legacy/Modern/Vintage crossover.
6: Only Eternal format not represented on forums.
7: With recent bannings of EtW, Grapeshot, and Invigorate the format is as wide open as ever.
8: People will come for Pauper and maybe get interested in other Eternal formats.
9: Pauper available to play 24/7/356.
10: Have somewhere to direct people who complain about price of Eternal staples.
11: No real downside.
Edit:
Oops, meant to put this in Community. Feel free to move Mods.

I'd love to see something like this.
Have been playing some in the past, however without any place to really discuss these decks it's hard to get really into the format. Also with these bannings I might be interested in picking this thing up again and this would (for me at least) the ideal place to discuss these kinds of things :).
Sincerely,
Hireax

Exactly my feelings.
I've been testing a lot for post Feb 6th bannings. Now if only I had somewhere to discuss my findings where people actually have a blue's clue what's going on and aren't just showing up to copy/paste my deck or give retarded suggestions.
The deck I've been working on curb stomps everything I expect to see post-6th except Delver, which is a pretty poor match-up.

And my LGS just made 5$ pauper tourneys regular thing which is awesome!

I think this is a good idea. I've been considering getting an account on MTGO just to play pauper, it would be cool if it were also a paper format. A subforum would help those interested in getting into the format, like myself.

That would be interesting. My community sometimes run paper-cards Pauper tournaments, and a good-quality, high signal-to-noise forum like the Source would be a blessing for me.

if it is going to be "active" as modern and vintage subforum.. then there is really no point in having it..
I still remeber how vocal people were for the vintage sub-forum.. now it's magnet for dust. Hurray :eyebrow:

I would also support the idea of a Pauper sub-forum. I've always loved the idea of a dirt cheap format where you have to get creative with your card choices since you can't have 90% of your deck be rares.

Which 9 days a year can't you play it?
I'd read a pauper sub-forum more than I currently read the vintage one.

Still an important place to post tournament information. Also the majority argument was based around including the sub forum on the grounds that it would be at least as busy as the Modern one, which it is.

YES PLEASE!!! I would love to have a serious pauper sub-forum! I really love the format.
Yeah a Pauper subforum would be sweet - nonrotating as it is it kind of fits the description of an eternal format.
The forum will be pretty dead until Cloudpost gets banned though - without Storm and Infect in the house, there are maybe 2-3 decks left which have a good Cloudpost matchup, anything else can be happy to have a 50% chance to win - format is just stupid right now if you ask me.

This.
Vintage subforum stats (not counting tournaments):
Thread: 42
Thread active in 2013 (i.e. last month): 2
Did creating a subforum for vintage really worth it? My opinion is no.

Is there a reason that the Cavius' Casual and Budget Forum isn't a good place to put Pauper discussions? not trolling just asking
how much it would be used aside i would like it to be made.
We had a little discussion about this in the mod board, and I think my feelings sum up the collective whole:
I'm against it. People cried about getting a Vintage forum and it's a POS with little activity. It's the same shit here. There's no reason they can't use the casual forum that already exists and this is far too niche imo to deserve an entire forum. If anything, just break the casual forum off of N&D and shove it under EDH, which is probably a good idea regardless.
I also don't want it because it's going down an already slippery slope. Honestly at that rate we might as well add every damn format given there are already (very poor and rather seldom used) Modern and Vintage forums.
That said, there will be no Pauper forum, you can discuss it in the casual forum (if you want, just use a [Pauper] tag or something], and you can now expect the casual forum in a different place.
And no offense to those who give a damn about the Vintage & Modern boards. But when you guys really tug at mom and dad's legs for months asking for it, then I take a look this morning to see that there's only been discussion on one deck thread since Christmas between the two discussion boards it has, it makes me further question why the hell we'd bother making it in the first place. It's certainly discouraging, and it's not outside of the realm of possibility that we'll remove it. Modern is almost as bad, but there's still more upside to having it with growing support.

Agreed. I would'nt mind if Vintage (and for now in lesser degree Modern) subforms get removed, as.. they are just no active and there's no point in having them.

Would something similar to 4eak's Budget Build thread work? Where everything could just be discussed under one thread or does that just sound like a terrible idea? #needmorecoffee

+1 to pauper forum.
I've got some brews i would like feedback on but i don't really want to join an all pauper forum cause i don't play that much and i'm not a part of that community really.

I think you meant 365.
I'd look at the forum if it was here.

This doesn't seem that bad.
